Skylark

11/23/25 – It’s only been in the ground for 11 months. It’s such a dark green and seems very happy where it’s at. You can get an idea of how large it’s grown from the gnome house below it. If you look back to the first picture from when it was planted you can see it was just a small awkward looking stick.

9/14/25 – Loving the way the plant catches the light in the morning. It’s filled out very nicely since planting it about 9 months back. Looking forward to seeing it fill out in the coming years. It’s supposed to be dome shaped and top out around 5′, spreading to 7′ or so. It’s currently 2′ tall and about 3′ wide.

7/13/25 – This skylark is doing much better then the 2nd one I planted out front.

6/1/25 – it’s great to see Ceanothus flowers in June! The bumbleebee appreciates it as well.

5/3/25 – The plant seems to be off to a good start. The leaves are super dark green, in fact this is the darkest ceanothus I have. This is supposed to bloom in June which is rare.

12/31/24 – I’ve added it into the back corner of the yard where I also have Blue cushion Ceanothus, Buck Brush, Desert Willow, Hollyleaf Redberry and Toyon.
