Some really great info:https://www.slideshare.net/slideshow/lester-rowntree-2014/96179225
8/23/25 – I love the color on this manzanita, it contrasts nicely with the Howard McMinn a few feet over. I try not to water this one very much but there are some other plants around it that require more, so I might have to let them die off to get my hydrozone in order.

7/9/25 – Just over 1 year in the ground now. It seems happy enough. I really like this variety but that’s not saying much when you have 20+ different types in your yard.

4/24/25 – Fresh growth coming in red, looks great on a sunny day.

4/10/25 – Lots of new growth happening on most of my manzanitas now

3/19/25 – Fruit has set leaving red berries for the birds to eat. This seems to be a very slow growing variety.

12/14/24 – Lester Rowntree that’s in the ground has NOT started flowering yet

11/26/24 – Flowering started on the Lester Rowntree

12/3/24

Planted 6/8/24

5/19/24 – waiting to be planted
