Yankee Point Ceanothus

12/31/24 – These two plants replace a huge Ivy patch. These new plants are perfect for dogs since they have very thick branches and can take being trampled. They should form a solid hedge, spreading about 15-20 feet wide and 2-3 feet tall. The plant tends to mound if not given room to stretch it’s legs. I’ve been using rocks to keep some of the taller branches low to the ground and it seems to be working well.
