7/12/25 – of the two I planted, one is clearly doing much better than the other.

This second one has the potting soil in a hole instead of the native soil. It was also being swallowed up by a plant that was next to it so some of the branches and leaves died back. I’ve since removed the offending plant and hope it rebounds this winter.

Little Sur Manzanita. Planted (2) of these last fall and struggled through much of the year, but looks better towards the end of summer. Hopefully it fills in next year and gets rid of the leaf spots.
