St. Helena

11/29/25 – Planted this at my wife’s school, along with a few other natives. I can only hope that it survives whatever comes it’s way. I’m thinking I should at least make some kind of sign or something. Hopefully it can get established this winter and the landscape gods are kind.

10/18/25 – Picked this one up at Summer Winds, it’s the 2nd one I purchased from them; I killed the first one in under a month watering it in the summer while it was still in it’s pot. It was a quick death.

I don’t need anymore manzanita’s but when I see a nice specimen of one I don’t have, it’s really hard to walk away. This one already proved hard to keep alive in a pot, so I guess I should prioritize planting it somewhere or gifting it to someone.
